kathmandu : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has decided not to resign immediately but face the vote of confidence.

A party office bearers’ meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning decided not to resign but to face the vote of confidence after the largest ruling partner CPN (UML) withdrew its support to the government.

“The Prime Minister has made an opinion that he is not going to give up immediately, but face the parliament and take a vote of confidence,” said Maoist Center Secretary Devendra Paudel.

The Prime Minister has to take the vote of confidence within 30 days when a ruling partner pulls out of the government and withdraws its support, according to the constitutional provision.
