Indian bus fallen into Marsyangdi River retrieved (with photos)
Tanahun : The Indian number plate bus fallen into the Marsyangdi River has been retrieved.
Two cranes were used to pull out the bus. The efforts were rendered since early morning to retrieve the bus by closing the Muglin-Anbukhaireni road section, leaving the passengers stranded.
Another crane was roped in after the bus could not be recovered with the help of a crane.
The bus has been brought to the road, said Tanahun District Police Office SP Birendra Bahadur Shahi.
With the bus retrieved onto to the road, the traffic has now resumed on the road, said SP Shahi.
Twenty-seven Indian tourists lost their lives after a bus with the Indian number plate, UP 53 FT 7623, fell into the Marsyangdi River while it was heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara on Friday morning.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to India after carrying out their autopsy on Saturday.
