Prakash Tamang receives citizenship

Kathmandu : Prakash Tamang (Kale Moktan) who has spent more than three decades of his life in Chekampar (Tsum Valley) in Chumanubri Rural Municipality of Gorkha, has received citizenship.

Citizenship was granted to Prakash at his house located in Shadananda Municipality-10, Chhaple village, Bhojpur.

Surendra Udas, mayor of the municipality, handed over the citizenship to Prakash in the presence of ward chair Prem Dorji Sherpa, head of local administration office, Binod Gyawali, and chief executive officer of the municipality, Mohan Chapagain.

Prakash came into limelight after the story ‘Lost Years’ was aired on the YouTube channel called ‘Herne Katha’ recently.

Journalist Rajesh Rai took Prakash to Bhojpur on Saturday in coordination with leading youths of Bhojpur.

Prakash reached his home district Bhojpur by a flight of Buddha Air on Saturday.

He will return to Kathmandu with citizenship. Upon returning to Kathmandu, Prakash is scheduled to meet Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
