Kathmandu : Every year on the day of Bhadra Krishna Aunsi, Kushe Aunsi festival is celebrated by the followers of Vedic Sanatan Dharma by bringing the holy kush which is used in god work and patriarchal work throughout the year.
On this occasion, according to tradition, children show their father’s favorite sweets and food and show respect and look at their father’s face. Those who do not have a father go to various holy places and offer tarpan, pindada and shraddha in the name of their father.
On this day, a special fair is held in the Gokarneshwar Mahadev Temple complex, located in the northeastern part of Kathmandu, known as Uttar Gaya. That is why today’s Aunsi is also known as Gokarne Aunsi. On this occasion, Gokarneshwar Mahadev temple complex is crowded with tarpan, pindaan and sidadaan in the name of the late father.
