CK Raut files case seeking divorce from his wife
Kathmandu : Janamat Party Chairman Dr. Chandra Kanta Raut (CK Raut) has filed a case of divorce in court against his wife.
Raut lodged a case in Lalitpur District Court seeking a divorce from his wife Soni Sindhu Rani two weeks ago, a source at the court said.
Raut’s wife Sindhu Rani is an Indian citizen. They have two daughters and a son. Raut in the petition, has stated that he filed the case for divorce from Rani as she does not stay at home and frequently visits her maternal house in India, an official at the court told Nepalkhabar.
Raut, 47, had been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Saptari Constituency-2.
Janamat Party emerged as an influential party in some Terai districts after the 2079 general elections.
Born in Saptari of Madhesh Province, Raut has done Bachelor’s Degree from the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus.
