Kathmandu : Kathmandu. The incessant rain since Friday caused a major flood in Kathmandu on Saturday.

All the rivers in the valley have submerged the coastal settlements. Thousands of people in the valley suffered flood damage in their residences on Saturday. Bagmati, Bishnumati, Manohara and other riverside roads have been buried.

Hundreds of properties such as shops, shutters, godowns, vegetable markets have been damaged by the flood. Many houses and structures have been destroyed due to the flood and the structures of concrete houses have also been damaged.

34 people died and 15 people were injured in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Police said that 481 people have been rescued and 21 people are missing.
