MP Eknath Dhakal leaves for U.S. to attend Trump’s Inauguration
Kathmandu : Member of the House of Representatives, Eknath Dhakal, departed for the United States Saturday to attend the inauguration ceremony of U.S. President Donald Trump, which is scheduled for Today January 20, in Washington, D.C.
MP Dhakal is accompanied by his wife, Blessie G. Dhakal, on this visit. Dhakal, who is also a former minister was bid farewell at Tribhuwan International Airport by senior vice president of the Nepal Pariwar Dal, Binod Dangi, General Secretary Prakash Babu Thapa, and central committee members Nila Shrestha, Kamana Bhusal, and advocate Bishnu Giri among others.
Speaking during the farewell, MP Dhakal described the opportunity to attend the inauguration of the leader of the world’s most powerful nation as significant for further strengthening Nepal-U.S. relations.
Dhakal is a member of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives and is affiliated with the Nepal-U.S. Parliamentary Friendship Group known for fostering strong international connections, Dhakal has established relationships with leaders from several countries. MP Dhakal departed for the United States via Turkish Airlines.
