Price of petrol down by Rs 11 and diesel Rs 5 per litre
Kathmandu : Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state oil monopoly, has reduced the price of petrol and diesel with effect from Sunday midnight.
According to the NOC, the price of petrol has gone down by by Rs 11 per litre and that of diesel by Rs 5 per litre. With the new price adjustment, petrol in Kathmandu is available for Rs 172 per litre. Dipayal and Pokhara also fall within this category. The price of diesel is Rs 168 per litre.
Similarly, in the first category (Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj) the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 169.50 and that of diesel at 165.50 per litre.
In the second category (Surkhet and Dang), the price of petrol has remained at 171 and that of diesel is at Rs 167 per litre.
The corporation has informed through a statement on Sunday that the price has been adjusted as soon as the new price was received from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
