Kathmandu : The ‘boyfriend’ of a female police constable who was found dead in the toilet of the District Police Office, Siraha has been arrested.

On June 13, police constable Karishma Sunar, 25, had been found hanging in the toilet on the second floor of the Women, Children and Senior Citizens Service Center building.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested 27-year-old Pushkar Thapa Magar of Dailekh, currently staying at Baijanath Rural Municipality-2, Banke in connection with Karishma’s suicide.

A case of abetment has been initiated against Pushkar based on the messages found on the mobile phone of the deceased female constable, SP Udaya Dwibedi of the DPO, Siraha said.

“Messages showing disputes between Karishma and Pushkar were found on the mobile phone. The families of the deceased’s kin also filed an FIR against Pushkar. We are investigating the case on the charge of abetment of suicide against Pushkar on a seven-day remand from the court,” SP Dwibedi told
