Kathmandu : Nepal is under the influence of monsoon with the low-pressure monsoon trough located south of the usual position.

Currently, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy across the country, with light to moderate rains falling in a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces and a couple of places in Sudurpashchim Province. Heavy rains are also falling in some places of Bagmati and Sudurpashchim provinces, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon with chances of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces and a few places of the remaining provinces. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy over the country tonight with chances of light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and in some places of Sudurpaschim Province and a few places of the rest of the provinces.

Likewise, heavy rain is forecast at one or two places in Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, according to a weather bulletin issued by the Weather Forecasting Division at 6 am today.
