Bindu Pandey meets UML Chair Oli, four-months after her suspension
Kathmandu : Four months after her suspension, CPN-UML leader Bindu Pandey met party chair KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday.

Pandey, who was suspended as a Standing Committee member by the UML Secretariat on Poush 10, held a one-hour discussion with Oli at Baluwatar.
According to sources, the two discussed recent political developments and the circumstances surrounding her suspension.
Oli reportedly urged Pandey not to make statements that could damage the party’s image, cautioning against actions that might benefit opposition forces. “Speaking recklessly against the party is not helpful. Such behavior encourages rival parties and puts the party in a difficult position. You should understand this,” Oli told her, stressing the need for restraint and mature dialogue.
Pandey responded by saying that her criticisms were directed at wrongdoings within the party and that she had spoken out as a responsible citizen. She stressed that her intent was not to oppose the party but to raise concerns.
During the meeting, Pandey also informed Oli that she had not received any formal suspension letter to date. In response, Oli stated that if no letter had been received, it could be considered that the suspension was not officially in effect. He also encouraged her to remain engaged in party activities.
At the end of the meeting, Pandey presented Oli with a copy of her recently published book Bhuinmanchhe (The Commoner), saying she had come to Baluwatar specifically to gift the book to him.
