Co-Ordinator of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has hinted that party unity with the CPN-UML could be possible in the future.

Speaking with party cadres in Benighat Rorang, Dhading, on Wednesday, Prachanda said the Maoist Centre would move forward by making the upcoming elections its main agenda.

“The new political line of the Maoist Centre is the election,” he said. “Right after Tihar, the unification process among parties within the Socialist Front will also move ahead.”

Hinting at a possible unification with UML, he added, “As long as KP Oli remains the leader, unity with UML is not possible. But if Oli is not in the leadership, the door for unity could open.”
