KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army has deployed five helicopters to rescue people affected by floods in Rasuwa, with 114 people rescued as of 8 am Thursday.

According to the Nepali Army, more than 2,000 personnel have been mobilized for search and rescue operations across flood-hit areas from Nuwakot to Chitwan.

Army teams are conducting search and rescue operations while distributing relief materials to affected communities. Eleven Nepali Army teams were engaged in rescue operations overnight.

The army is transporting relief supplies to Trishuli using 11 trucks and airlifting the materials to affected areas as needed. So far, four airlift operations carrying relief supplies have reached Timure.

A medical team is also being deployed to Trishuli to provide treatment to people injured in the floods.
