Kathmandu: Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the effects of the cyclone will also be felt in Nepal. Starting Tuesday through Thursday, the system is likely to cause cloudy skies, rainfall, and snowfall across various parts of the country.

The department has forecast that Tuesday will see widespread cloud cover, accompanied by rain and snowfall in several hilly and mountainous areas as the cyclone’s influence reaches Nepal.

Authorities have urged the public and travelers, especially in high-altitude regions, to stay alert and take necessary precautions against the changing weather conditions.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning that Cyclone Montha, currently active over the Bay of Bengal, is expected to intensify further into a severe storm. According to the forecast, the wind speed of Cyclone Montha could reach 90 to 100 kilometers per hour, posing potential risks in coastal regions of India.
