KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has defended his ‘quiet approach’ to governance, saying that certain sensitive matters handled by the ministry cannot be made public.
Responding to growing criticism over his performance, Aryal emphasized that he is more focused on carrying out his duties sincerely than seeking publicity.
“The Home Ministry is sensitive in every way. On some issues, we cannot even disclose what has been done,” Aryal said through social media. “Since it is not a propaganda-oriented ministry, we have no option but to work quietly and continue with a sincere heart.”
He reiterated his commitment to guiding the government toward fulfilling its mandate and ensuring the country heads toward a solution through elections.
“At the end of its term, we will thank the people for their patience,” he added. “We will fulfill this government’s responsibility to lead the country toward a solution through elections, following the path of good governance step by step.”
The next election for the House of Representatives is scheduled for March 5, 2026.
