Kathmandu : The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to nominate Narayan Dahal as the chairman of the National Assembly.
The meeting of the office-bearers of the Maoist Center held on Sunday decided to field Dahal as a candidate for the post.
Dahal is the brother of Maoist Center Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The meeting has approved his name. The date for the election of the Chair of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament has been set for March 12.
Dahal is poised to lead National Assembly as Maoist Center, UML, Unified Socialist and JSP have 39 MPs in the Upper House.
