The Election Commission has begun transporting ballot boxes and other essential materials for Nepal’s House of Representatives election scheduled for 5 March.

Officials said the dispatch started last week as part of preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the vote nationwide.

According to the Commission, nine categories of election materials are being sent from the central level, while a further 37 types will be arranged by district authorities.

The phased transportation, election officials added, is intended to ensure timely delivery and effective management of polling logistics across the country.
