Kathmandu : As part of the Paris Paralympics, the team including Palesa Govardhan, who won Nepal’s first bronze medal in Para Taekwondo, has been toured the city.

Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary welcomed the team that arrived in the country on Wednesday morning at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

city tour passed through Airport, Gaushala, Old Baneshwar, Maitidevi, Dillibazar, Baghbazar, Bhadrakali, Shaheedgate, Tripureshwar Chowk and reached the premises of the National Sports Council.

In the Paralympics held in Paris, Palesha, who competed in the women’s under 57 kg category under the K44 category, won a bronze medal. This is the first medal won by Nepalese athletes in Olympics.
