Hamas has released 20 hostages on Monday, according to reports.

As part of a ceasefire agreement, Hamas handed over the 20 hostages to the Israeli military through the Red Cross, the BBC reported.

The Israeli Defense Forces have also made public the photos of those recently freed from Hamas captivity.

These hostages were abducted and taken to Gaza during the October 7, 2023, attack launched by Hamas on Israeli border areas.

Under the agreement, following the release of 20 hostages by Hamas, Israel will free 250 Palestinian prisoners and more than 1,700 detainees.

Meanwhile, following Hamas’s decision to release hostages, expectations had risen regarding the possible release of Nepali student Bipin Joshi.

However, there is still no confirmed information about his condition or whereabouts.

Joshi was also abducted by Hamas during the October 7, 2023, assault.
