Kathmandu: Author Jitendra Rasic’s 18th book, a children’s science fiction novel titled “Cyborg,” was officially launched in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The book was jointly unveiled by Yamuna Parajuli, publisher of Eternal Publications, along with Shital Sukubhatu, Raman Raut and Bhajan Raut of Educational Publishing Book House, Jamal.

Cyborg imagines what the future might look like as science and technology continue to advance rapidly. The novel explores how developments especially in artificial intelligence could shape human life in the years to come.

Speaking at the launch event, publisher Yamuna Parajuli said the story raises an important question: as technology grows more powerful, could it one day challenge humanity itself? The book also touches on another fascinating idea whether science could ever make humans immortal, presenting thoughtful and logical possibilities in an engaging way.

Author Jitendra Rasic said he hopes the novel will spark imagination, curiosity and critical thinking among children and teenagers.

Priced at Rs 2 hundred 50, Cyborg is now available at Educational Publishing Book House, Ratna Pustak Bhandar and other bookstores.

The book is a joint effort of Eternal Publications and Educational Publishing Book House. Rasic, who has long been active in the fields of Nepal Bhasa, culture and literature, has previously published 11 books across genres including novels, ghazals, cultural writings and biography.
