Kathmandu: The health condition of Nepal Communist Party NCP Coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal remains stable, according to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

Dahal was admitted to Nepal Mediciti Hospital after being diagnosed with a mild pneumonia infection.

In a statement issued on Sunday afternoon, the hospital said Prachanda’s condition is stable and that he is responding positively to treatment. A team of specialist doctors is continuously monitoring his health and providing necessary medical care.

The hospital noted that although his condition is gradually improving, he will remain hospitalized for a few more days to ensure a full recovery. Doctors have advised continued observation and treatment before he is discharged.

Prachanda had been experiencing fever, cough, cold-like symptoms and breathing difficulties over the past few days. Medical examinations later confirmed an early stage pneumonia infection, prompting doctors to admit him for closer monitoring and treatment.

Following the news of his hospitalization, leaders and cadres from various political parties, along with well wishers have expressed their wishes for his speedy recovery. Messages of support and good health have also been widely shared on social media.

The hospital reiterated that Prachanda’s health is not in a critical condition and that his treatment is progressing effectively under close medical supervision. Party leaders have also said that he is receiving adequate rest and treatment in accordance with doctors’ recommendations.
