
Kathmandu: The Second National Convention of the National Dalit Journalists Association Nepal has elected a new executive committee under the leadership of Gopal Baraili as President.
The newly elected executive committee includes Laxman Darnal as Senior Vice President. The Vice Presidents elected are Savitri Rasaili, Man Singh B.K., Sushil Darnal, Narbhupal B.K., Binod Pariyar, Bhola Paswan, Tekendra Bishwakarma, Prem Bahadur B.K., Bhim Bahadur B.K., and Sarita Baraili.
Similarly, Karan Tamrakar has been elected General Secretary. The Secretaries elected are Rajesh Kumar Paswan, Basanta Bishwakarma, Chinta Pariyar and Basanta Bishwakarma while Sanjay Saugat has been elected Treasurer.
The newly elected members are Hira Pariyar, Karna Bahadur B.K., Ganesh B.K., Kushal Dalami, Amir Ramdam, Manis B.K., Ambika Pariyar, Archana Pariyar, Subas Ram, Mina Bishwakarma, Rajesh Sunam, Prakash Pariyar, Sanju Devi Pariyar and P.B. Diyali.
Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes have been extended to all the newly elected office bearers and members. It is believed that the new executive committee will play an effective role in promoting the rights, interests, capacity building and professional empowerment of Dalit journalists.
The newly elected leadership is expected to further strengthen and advance the association’s mission and objectives.
