Sankhuwasabha, Aug 28 – President Ramchandra Paudel has reminded the nation that prosperity begins with strong governance and education reform. Addressing the Diamond Jubilee of Madi Secondary School in Madi Municipality, he envisioned an education system that embraces science, technology, and research while fostering skills, efficiency, and entrepreneurship for lifelong learning.

He said education should inspire innovation and entrepreneurship—whether through modernized agriculture in villages, job creation, the rise of a digital economy, or improved infrastructure. For this, he urged the government to place education, health, and employment at the very heart of national priorities, calling them the stepping stones toward fulfilling the people’s dreams.

Describing education as the cornerstone of prosperity, the President pressed for agricultural modernization and commercialization to draw the nation’s youth into development work. He also called for dignity of labour and warned that political distractions must not overshadow the need for good governance and effective service delivery.

Appreciating Sankhuwasabha’s rich natural and economic potential, Paudel noted the district’s leading role in hydropower production and its untapped possibilities in tourism, trade, and herbal farming. He said developing the Kimathanka border point with China could transform cross-border trade, while the combined strength of agriculture, education, water resources, tourism, and industry could build the pillars of Nepal’s prosperity.
