KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate for one US dollar fixed at Rs 152.94 and the selling rate at Rs 153.54.
According to the central bank, one Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 106.61 and sold at Rs 107.03, while the buying rate for one Canadian dollar stands at Rs 107.22 and the selling rate at Rs 107.65.
The euro has been fixed at Rs 171.03 for buying and Rs 171.70 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate for one British pound sterling is Rs 202.42, while the selling rate is Rs 203.22.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Swiss franc is priced at Rs 183.59 for buying and Rs 184.31 for selling. The Singapore dollar is fixed at Rs 119.41 and Rs 119.88, while the Chinese yuan stands at Rs 22.85 and Rs 22.94 for buying and selling, respectively.
The Japanese yen, quoted for 10 units, has a buying rate of Rs 9.64 and a selling rate of Rs 9.68. The Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 40.72 for buying and Rs 40.88 for selling, while the UAE dirham stands at Rs 41.64 and Rs 41.80, respectively.
The central bank has also fixed the buying and selling rates for other currencies, including the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.96 and Rs 42.12, Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.38 and Rs 37.53, South Korean won (100 units) at Rs 11.48 and Rs 11.52, Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 496.32 and Rs 498.26, Bahraini dinar at Rs 404.82 and Rs 406.41, and Omani rial at Rs 397.22 and Rs 398.78.
NRB said the published exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on market conditions. The rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s official rates.
