
KATHMANDU: TR Bhandari (Shankar) has been elected unopposed as the President of the Hotel Entrepreneurs Federation Nepal during its fifth general convention held in Pokhara, Gandaki Province.
The convention unanimously selected a new executive committee under Bhandari’s leadership. The entire committee was elected unopposed.
Following his election, President Bhandari expressed gratitude to all representatives, senior entrepreneurs and supporters. He pledged to make the federation more transparent, accountable, and member centric.
He also emphasized his commitment to strengthening Nepal’s tourism and hotel sector by promoting policy reforms, creating an investment friendly environment and protecting the rights and interests of entrepreneurs.
The federation has been playing a significant role in uniting hotel entrepreneurs across the country, advocating for policies, enhancing capacity and promoting tourism.
With the new leadership in place, expectations are high for accelerated digital transformation, improved infrastructure collaboration, and skilled workforce development.
Stakeholders in the tourism sector have expressed confidence that the new committee will strengthen coordination between the private sector and the government, contributing positively to regional development.
